Local network permission

Network Toolkit needs Apple’s Local Network permission to discover devices on your Wi-Fi or wired network, resolve hostnames, and run local diagnostics. When iOS asks on first launch, choose Allow.

If discovery finds only your current iPhone, the permission may be turned off. To check:

Open iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → turn Network Toolkit on

Device discovery and scanning

The Devices tab scans your subnet to locate connected equipment — phones, laptops, smart TVs, IoT devices, and servers — identifying device types and vendors using IEEE OUI registries.

Pinning devices: Swipe or tap a device to pin it to the top of your list for quick access.

Custom labels: You can assign custom names and notes to any device. Everything is saved locally on your iPhone.

Built-in tools & diagnostics

Network Toolkit includes over 20 native diagnostic tools and utilities:

All tests execute directly from your iPhone without routing your traffic through intermediary servers.

SSH keys and credentials

SSH credentials and private keys generated in the app are stored exclusively in your iPhone’s Keychain, marked for this device only. They are never synced to iCloud Keychain and never leave your phone.

Clearing your data

Open Network Toolkit → Settings → Forget Known Devices

This permanently deletes saved names, pins, and scan history across all networks. You can also export your discovered device inventory anytime using Export Device List in Settings.

Purchase and refunds

Network Toolkit is a one-time purchase with no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. Buy once, get all current and future tools.

On a new iPhone, download it again from the App Store with the same Apple Account — there is no second charge.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
