Network Toolkit
Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Network Toolkit. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to them.
In these terms, “we” and “us” refer to the developer of Network Toolkit, releasing software under the name Carmel App Studio.
Permitted use and authorization
Network Toolkit provides active diagnostic capabilities including port scanning, host discovery, traceroute, and packet transmission. You agree to use these tools solely on networks, systems, and devices that you own or have obtained explicit permission to scan, analyze, or administer.
You agree not to use Network Toolkit for unauthorized network reconnaissance, penetration testing against third-party systems without permission, or any activity that violates computer crime, unauthorized access, or telecommunications laws in your jurisdiction.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Network Toolkit on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or lease the app.
Diagnostics are for informational purposes
Network discovery results, port status indicators, throughput figures, latency statistics, and security reviews are provided for informational and diagnostic purposes only. Network conditions, firewall configurations, and device sleep states can affect scan completeness. Network Toolkit does not guarantee detection of all connected equipment or network vulnerabilities.
Purchases
Network Toolkit is a paid app, purchased once through Apple’s App Store. There are no recurring subscriptions and no in-app purchases. Billing, transactions, and refunds are managed entirely by Apple under its App Store terms; you may request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Third-party data acknowledgments
Network Toolkit incorporates open datasets to provide offline intelligence: IP geographic and ASN data from DB-IP Lite (licensed under CC BY 4.0), MAC vendor registry information from the IEEE Registration Authority, and internet speed test infrastructure provided by Measurement Lab (NDT7).
Intellectual property
Network Toolkit, including its user interface, code, graphics, and documentation, is the property of Carmel App Studio and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carmel App Studio shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app or from network actions performed with it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
